The University of Barcelona, awarded for its track record in the Erasmus Mundus programme

Erasmus Mundus are international master’s degrees, jointly designed and delivered by a group of higher education institutions from at least three different countries, with European funding, including a scholarship programme. A total of around 600 universities are involved in this programme, which has promoted a total of 585 joint master’s degree projects.
A success story
One of these UB programmes is the Erasmus Mundus master’s degree in Quality in Analytical Laboratories, which aims to prepare professionals for analytical laboratories, with a special focus on the implementation and management of quality systems. Its coordinator, Miquel Esteban, professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Chemistry, was interviewed in the latest issue of the newsletter of the Spanish Service for the Internationalisation of Education (SEPIE).
Last Friday, Rector Guàrdia, the UB’s Vice-Rector for Academic Policy, Pilar Delgado, and the UB’s Vice-Rector for Internationalisation Policy, Raúl Ramos, congratulated the coordinators of the Erasmus Mundus programmes, the staff of the UB’s Office of Mobility and International Programmes, the Agency for Policy and Quality, Academic Management and the faculties involved for their efforts in this ongoing presence in this European Union programme.
