The University of Barcelona presents its training offer in Saló de l'Ensenyament

The University of Barcelona presents its training offer for the academic year 2020/2021 (bachelor, master, postgraduate and doctoral studies) in Saló de lʼEnsenyament and Saló Futura. This event is part of the Work and Training Week and will take place in the Montjuic fair building from the March 18 to 22, 2020.

The University of Barcelona presents its training offer for the academic year 2020/2021 (bachelor, master, postgraduate and doctoral studies) in Saló de lʼEnsenyament and Saló Futura. This event is part of the Work and Training Week and will take place in the Montjuic fair building from the March 18 to 22, 2020.
The University will be present in Saló de lʼEnsenyament with its own stand to share the degrees for next year. The UB maintains its offer with 73 consolidated bachelor degree studies, covering all knowledge areas, while the dual pathway studies of the UB go from 13 to 15 with two new options: Business Administration and Management - Chemistry and Archaeology - History.
The UB started offering dual pathway degrees in 2009/2010, when the degrees of Physics - Mathematics and Mathematics - Computer Engineering launched. Apart from these two, the UB now offers other studies: Audiovisual Communication - Information and Documentation Management, Law - Business Administration and Management, Law - Political and Administration Sciences, Law - Criminology, Law - Public Management and Administration, Law - Industrial Relations, Economics - Statistics, Mathematics - Business Administration and Management, Teacher in Early Childhood Education - Teacher in Primary Education, Pharmacy - Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Sociology - Business Administration and Management, plus this yearʼs new pathways in Business Administration and Management - Chemistry, and Archaeology - History.
UB stand in Saló de lʼEnsenyament
The stand of the UB in Saló de lʼEnsenyament will be placed in the pavilion 1 and will have a space of 180 square meters. Its visibility will be stressed with some changes in the design, regarding colors and the location of the posters with the logo of the University. The stand will feature information about the University and its academic offer as well as the services for the academic year 2020/2021. Apart from the direct information to be given in this stand, there will be personal attention and advice: there will be 44 information desks and a hundred informants from the University to attend to the specific doubts of the visitors. Moreover, like in previous years, a representative from Barcelona Activa (Barcelona City Council) will give advice on professional interests. In addition, this year the stand of the UB will have a service desk for the Col·legis Majors (University accommodation).
Moreover, the UB will provide about 75,500 leaflets in the fair. Out of these 75,500 leaflets, 68,100 correspond to the faculties of the University, 2,600 to the engineering studies, and 1,800 to the affiliated centres. Also, there will be 10,000 general leaflets with the academic offer regarding the bachelor studies of the University of Barcelona.
Like in previous years, leaflets with information about the training offer have a QR code so that students can access with their phones to the specific website for the future students of the University of Barcelona, which gathers information on the different services that offers the University and each of the faculties, the training offer, and the activities aimed at secondary school and scientific dissemination, among other information of interest.
Saló Futura
The University of Barcelona takes part in the Saló dels Màsters i Postgraus Futura, to take place from March 20 to 21. The UB will present its offer for the academic year 2020/2021 on the university masterʼs degrees, as well as UB-specific degrees and doctoral degrees. This year, the offer for the academic year 2020/2021 includes the masterʼs degrees of Labour Economics, Education in Rural Areas, and Integral Podiatric Surgery, taught at the faculties of Economics and Business, Education and Medicine and Health Sciences, respectively. Moreover, other four degrees from the Erasmus Mundus program will start its activity as well as the masterʼs degree in Science and Technology in Football -from the affiliated centre ENTI.
La UB Divulga a lʼEspai Ciència
La UB Divulga will be present once more in Espai Ciència in Saló de lʼEnsenyament with its own stand. The visitors will discover the task on research and innovation carried out by some research groups of the UB in different knowledge branhes, such as physics, biology, chemistry, geography and law. From Wednesday, March 18, to Sunday March 22, several researchers of the UB will show and share their research through workshops and activities, like science experiments, to promote the interest of the young in science and technology. Some workshops will be the following: Why flatworms can generate and we canʼt?, Simulations of Quantum Mechanics, Gaia. The galaxy in 3D, Are we ready? Research on our resilience regarding climate change, Materialize, Letʼs talk about geography, Take part in GeoQuiz!, Quarks: matter bricks, Take the iuris test, and Eating a word search.
