The rector of the UB calls together the Spanish universities involved in European university alliances

Yesterday, January 22, 2020, the UB held a meeting with the rectors and the main representatives of the Spanish universities involved in some of the projects from European universities. This is a total of eleven university alliances, among which is CHARM-EU, led by the University of Barcelona, which was selected among the 54 submitted applications.
The aim of the meeting was to set and agree on the support needs of the Spanish institutions for these European proposals in order to bring them to the new ministry team in a clear and efficient way. Despite differences among the proposals, it is necessary to share scenarios to present them together in the ministry and the different university evaluation agencies and other bodies.
In this unique initiative, which has become the star project of the European Commission Directorate-General of Education, Youth, Sport and Culture, the governmental support is essential, especially for the official, national and international recognition of the results and viability of these alliances in the long run.
