The Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences hosts the award ceremony of the Catalan Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy
On Thursday, December 22, at 7.30 p.m., the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences will host the ceremony for the Gold Medal of the Catalan Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy awarded to the prestigious experts Carles Ballús, Francesc Borrell, Josep Maria Bricall, Santiago Dexeus, Josep Esteve, Rosa Fabregat, Rafael Foguet, Màrius Foz, Josep Maria Gil-Vernet, Benet Oliver-Rodés, Joan Rodés, Ciril Rozman, Joan Uriach, Antoni Vila and Francesc Vilardell. The award, which is the maximum honour given by the Institute, honours the long-standing relationship of the awardees with the institution.
The ceremony will include the participation of Mercè Pallàs Lliberia, vice-rector for Teaching and Research Staff, and the dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences, Joan Esteva de Sagrera.

Carmona, from the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology, will confer the distinction of Member of Honour to the deans of the UB‘s Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Francesc Cardellach, and the Faculty of Pharmacy and Food Sciences, Joan Esteva de Sagrera, together with the respective presidents of the Official College of Physicians of Barcelona (COMB), Jaume Padrós; the Official College of Pharmacists of Barcelona, Jordi de Dalmases; the Royal Medical Academy of Catalonia, Joan Viñas; the Royal Academy of Pharmacy of Catalonia, Josep Maria Ventura, and the Catalan and Balearic Academy of Medical Sciences and Health, Àlvar Net.
