July 11, 2025, marks the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide, considered the largest mass murder in Europe since World War II. With the aim of promoting an accurate historical memory of the genocide, enhancing awareness and counteracting oblivion and denial, the UB Solidarity Foundation’s European Observatory on Memories (EUROM) has signed a collaboration agreement with the Srebrenica Memorial Centre

One of the first initiatives is to support the campaign to commemorate this anniversary, including the launch of the Guidelines for Accurate Reporting and Speaking about the Genocide in Srebrenica, written by journalist Melina Borčak.

The presentation will be complemented by a thirteen-minute audiovisual piece that will serve as a historical summary and a reflection of the Memorial Centre’s mission: to preserve the memory of victims, support survivors and combat denial through education and evidence-based advocacy. The short film will be available on EUROM’s YouTube channel from July 11.
