The UB is ranked 53rd and is the leading institution in Spain in the QS ranking of European universities

The University of Barcelona is ranked 53rd out of the 684 universities analysed by the QS Europe University Rankings. These data place it among the top 8% of European universities, in addition to being the leader in Spain. The UB stands out in the indicators of academic reputation (25th place), international research networks (31st) and sustainability (35th).

The University of Barcelona is ranked 53rd out of the 684 universities analysed by the QS Europe University Rankings. These data place it among the top 8% of European universities, in addition to being the leader in Spain. The UB stands out in the indicators of academic reputation (25th place), international research networks (31st) and sustainability (35th).

 
Specifically, the UB received a score of 94.5 out of 100 for the international research networks indicator, 94.1 for academic reputation, 93.8 for sustainability and 87.9 for employability. In total, the ranking includes up to twelve indicators in the areas of research, graduate employability, learning experience, internationalization and sustainability. Overall, the UB achieved a score of 75.

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), the author of a world university ranking, publishes different regional rankings for universities in Asia, the Arab world, Latin America and Europe (specifically, Council of Europe member states).
