Yesterday, Monday 17 February, the 11th edition of the Unirun university fun run was presented at the Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona. With the 6,000 places already sold out — they were sold out in only 26 days —, once again the activity has consolidated itself as one of the most popular urban runs of 5,000 metres.

Yesterday, Monday 17 February, the 11th edition of the Unirun university fun run was presented at the Fàbrica Moritz Barcelona. With the 6,000 places already sold out — they were sold out in only 26 days —, once again the activity has consolidated itself as one of the most popular urban runs of 5,000 metres.
The fun run will take place on Sunday 2 March at 9.30 am, and the route will run along the waterfront of Barcelona’s Sant Martí district. The competition will start at Parc del Fòrum and will finish at Parc dels Auditoris. The time limit for the race is one hour.
The sponsor of this edition is the professional padel player Tonet Sans, who currently holds the 70th position in the world ranking. In addition to his sporting career, Sans is a physiotherapist, having studied physiotherapy at the Rovira i Virgili University.
The University of Barcelona is once again the leader in terms of the number of people registered, with 1,886. Of these, 1,558 are students; 176 are former students; 100 are members of research and teaching staff, while 52 are supporters. Regarding gender, 1,175 of those registered are women and 711 are men.
The Unirun is an athletics event, promoted by the 12 Catalan universities through the Catalan University Sport (ECU), which aims to encourage new challenges in university athletics, create community and promote health. It also has the support of the General Secretariat of Sports and Physical Activity and the Barcelona City Council, as well as the sponsorship of Adidas and the Gaudium Sports organization.
In the Unirun 2025, the euro from the registration fee is donated to the La Muntanyeta Foundation, whose main objective is to defend the rights of people affected by cerebral palsy or similar aetiologies in the Tarragona region.

Així mateix, té el suport de la Secretaria General de l’Esport i l’Activitat Física i l’Ajuntament de Barcelona, a més del patrocini d’Adidas i l’organització Gaudium Sports.
A la Unirun 2025, l’euro solidari de la inscripció es destina a la Fundació La Muntanyeta, que té com a objectiu principal defensar els drets de les persones afectades de paràlisi cerebral o etiologies similars a les comarques de Tarragona.
