UB professor Jaume Magre, new director of the Public Administration School of Catalonia

Jaume Magre, professor of Political Science at the University of Barcelona, has been appointed director of the School of Public Administration of Catalonia. Magre has a solid academic and professional career in the field of political science, specializing in local government and institutional transparency.

Magre has a solid academic and professional career in the field of political science, specializing in local government and institutional transparency.
As director of the Carles Pi i Sunyer Foundation for Autonomous and Local Studies since 2006, Magre has promoted research and studies aimed at improving local administration. He is recognized for his dissemination and advisory work on local policies, in which he has always provided an academic and practical perspective on the functioning of municipal administrations.
At the UB, Magre coordinates the Research Group on Local Government (GREL). In his research activity, he has published several works on municipal governments and metropolitan areas, as well as on electoral behaviour and systems. He has also participated as an expert in numerous national and international projects.
The School of Public Administration of Catalonia was founded in 1912. It offers services and products related to the recruitment and recognition of talent, training, consultancy and research in the field of public administration. It collaborates with the university system and with international counterpart organizations.
