A hundred students take part in the UB’s High School Debate League

The team from Institut Pedralbes won the High School Debate League of the University of Barcelona, while the runner-up was the team from Escola Creixen Povill.

Twenty-four teams and a total of 120 students from various schools took part in the tournament, as well as one teacher per team, who acts as captain. The winning team will represent the UB in the High School Debate League of the Vives University Network, which will take place from 2 to 4 April at the University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia. The topic of debate will be: “Is the cult of the body a threat to health?”.
The competition aims to improve the communicative skills of the participants, to promote the acquisition of transversal competences through the use of the spoken word and to create a training space in which Catalan is used as the vehicular language.
