It is listed among the top 50 worldwide in 4 cases, and it stands among the top 100 in 22 subjects. Moreover, it becomes established as the leader in Spain and it gets the first position in 20 disciplines.

This international ranking assesses the position of 1,595 institutions worldwide in disciplines linked to the knowledge fields of Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences and Management, Life Sciences and Medicine, and Engineering and Technology. The University of Barcelona is listed among the top 100 universities worldwide in Life Sciences and Medicine (position 57), Natural Sciences (65), and Arts and Humanities (97).
Regarding the analyzed disciplines, the UB is one of the top 50 worldwide in Philosophy (46 worldwide), Medicine (46), Library and Information Sciences (47), and Archaeology (47). Apart from these, the University is also listed among the top 100 worldwide in Pharmacy and Pharmacology, Biological Sciences, Psychology, Environmental Sciences, Education, Modern Languages, Physics and Astronomy, Law, Chemical Engineering, Anatomy and Physiology, Anthropology, Marine and Earth Sciences, Geology, Geophysics, Hospitality and Leisure Management, Nursing, Social Politics and Management and Sports-related subjects.
