Josep Macià, professor at the Faculty of Philology of UB, participated in the first philosophy coffee included in the programme of the festival Barcelona Pensa, an event organised by the University of Barcelona. Under the title “Llibertat i determinisme”, Macià reflected on the connections among freedom, determinism and moral responsibility and questioned whether the subjective experience of freedom is misleading.

From 17 to 22 November, the festival offers exhibitions, colloquiums and performances aimed at bringing philosophical thinking closer to citizens and being a place where people can think about common worries.
