The four winning proposals of the Sona UB competition are Erxart Casas, LAIALAIA, elo and Bons Nois. The UB community has decided that these are the guest artists who will perform at the Els Vespres d’Estiu concerts, which this year take place on 9, 11, 16 and 18 July 2024 in the Historic Building.

The four winning proposals of the Sona UB competition are Erxart Casas, LAIALAIA, elo and Bons Nois. The UB community has decided that these are the guest artists who will perform at the Els Vespres d’Estiu concerts, which this year take place on 9, 11, 16 and 18 July 2024 in the Historic Building.
More than five hundred people took part in the popular voting phase, open to all members of the University of Barcelona community. According to the votes received, the winners are:
- Erxart Casas is a student at the Faculty of Philosophy, a pop singer-songwriter and lover of modern music (jazz, swing, blues...), and has now released her first album, El que (no) vull, a compilation of songs in which she talks about her day-to-day life.
- LAIALAIA is a student of the Faculty of Philology and Communication, and has started a solo project, following inspirations from French pop and indie pop and electro music in Catalan.
- elo, a student at the Faculty of Economics and Business, presents her EP (extended play) under the name Alter elo, which develops styles such as dancehall, cumbia, jersey club and pop, mixing lyrics in Catalan and French.
- Bons Nois are students at the Faculty of Philology and Communication, and form a band from Sant Feliu de Llobregat that makes “pop a la brasa”: songs cooked over a live fire, with firewood, in which distortion dominates, which they combine with colourful notes and atmospheric sounds.
