The University of Barcelona has reaffirmed its social commitment by joining the Gran Recapte campaign, an initiative of the Food Bank to collect food for the neediest people in Spain. On 22 and 23 November, Friday and Saturday, you can take part in the campaign by making food donations in supermarkets throughout Catalonia or making financial contributions via Bizum with the code 33596. This edition of the Gran Recapte will allocate 50% of the donations to people affected by the storm that the dana storm caused in Horta Sud, in the Valencian Community, one of the worst affected regions.
The UB has launched an internal dissemination campaign to inform and encourage the entire university community to participate as volunteers or donors. This collaboration is coordinated with the Food Bank, and the campaign materials are available on the Gran Recapte website for anyone who wishes to contribute to the dissemination of this solidarity action.
This initiative is evidence of the UB’s involvement in humanitarian aid and solidarity.
