Exhibition: “Dret a la resistència”

On the morning of 3 February 1976, a large pro-amnesty gathering took place at the Faculty of Law. That same afternoon, a new dean took office after five years of opposition from the Faculty to the government-appointed position under Franco’s regime. 

These events marked the beginning of a new era for the Faculty, within the broader context of Spain’s transition to democracy after decades of dictatorship. 

Taking this milestone as a point of reference, the exhibition seeks to recall what it was like to study, work, and defend democratic values at the Faculty of Law during the Franco dictatorship.

The opening will take place on Friday, 13 February, at 1.00 p.m., and it will be attended by Rector Joan Guàrdia.
