Experts stress the importance of green investment
The International Academic Symposium, which is organised every year by the UB Chair on Energy Sustainability of the University of Barcelona and the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB), has once again brought together energy experts from all over the world. In this case, the event took place in the Aula Magna of the UB's Historic Building. Among the attendants were Joan Guàrdia, rector of the UB, Martí Parellada, president of the IEB, Maria Teresa Costa, president of the UB Chair on Energy Sustainability, and José García Quevedo, director of the Department of Economics of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the UB. The session addressed, among other issues, the need to accelerate the pace of the ecological transition based on a significant increase in green investment, both public and private.
