In love with tariffs: the end of economic globalization

On 13 February 2024, the White House announced a plan that could lead to a general increase in tariffs worldwide.
We do not know the size of the tragedy, but this is not a surprise, as President Trump has repeatedly said that he likes tariffs and that it is the nicest word in the dictionary. 

In this article, I want to explain how the tariffs did not help to reduce the current account deficit and how this episode may put an end to economic globalization.
