- Acte de celebració del Dia Internacional dels Rius amb el líder ianomami Davi Kopenawa

Next Friday, 14th March, from 11.30 a.m., the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Biology will host this event to celebrate International Rivers Day with the participation of Davi Kopenawa, political activist and leader of the Yanomami people, one of the most important indigenous peoples living on the Amazon rainforest on the border between Brazil and Venezuela.
Davi Kopenawa will give a talk open to the public and will receive a distinction in recognition of his fight for human and environmental rights at an event attended by the Vice-Rector for Sustainability and Climate Action, Teresa Sauras, and the Dean of the Faculty, Rosina Gironès. The programme includes a dialogue on collective responsibility in defence of the earth and the fight against the climate emergency with experts Ana Maria Machado, Sandra Branco Buenafuente and Martí Orta.
