Participants in the debate will be the sociologist Marina Subirats, together with Miquel Martínez, professor of Theory of Education at the UB, and Jaume Font, professor of Regional Geographical Analysis at the UB. Víctor Climent, head of the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Economics and Business, will chair the session.
#DebatsUB, now in their second edition, respond to the Universityʼs will to become a meeting point for different sensitivities in our society and to promote debate and use of words to favour the understanding and resolution of conflicts. At the same time, it provides an academic view of the social worries, giving analytical elements and promoting collective thinking. The first three sessions of the first edition of #DebatsUB are collected in a volume published by Publications and Editions of the UB. The corresponding books for the other sessions will be soon published.
