Every academic year, most new students choose the University of Barcelona as their first choice. In this video, four students who will be studying at the UB next year explain their motivations for enrolling and what it means, from their personal point of view, to become university students.
Maura Garcia, a new student of the Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, emphasises her passion for this subject and that she wants to know more “about the universe and the laws that explain it”. Héctor Sarrión has always been interested in computer science and, after searching the internet, he found the degree in Cybersecurity (ENTI-UB), which this year offers its first edition. Marina Blanco, a new student on the Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, explains how she chose the UB and stresses that she has considered “the professionalism of the teaching staff” and the fact that Hospital Clínic is a UB university hospital. Eman Idrees, who will be studying for a degree in Digital Information and Documentation Management, says that she is proud to be “the first person in the family to go to university”.
