Cardemcat, the winning entry in the first edition of the University of Barcelona’s Maria Sabater Videopodcast Competition, comes to an end on 14 May with the recording of a final episode with an audience. It will be held in the Aula Jane Addams, on the fourth floor of the Faculty of Geography and History, at 6.00 pm. Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
This last episode comes full of surprises: there will be prizes and snacks. The project, coordinated by Laura Boj, Roger Miras and Xènia Hernández, students at the Faculty of Philology and Communication, was bon last November. Its aim was to talk about sex in an open way, without tabooks, and to promote the use of sexual terminology in Catalan. All episodes can be found on the main platforms: iVoox and Spotify in audio format and YouTube in video format.
Registrations open for the 2nd edition of the competition
The Maria Sabater Videopodcast Competition is an initiative of the UB that aims to promote students’ own channels and involve them in the University’s communication activities. Entries for this year’s edition are open until 15 May.
The content of the programme is free and the subject must be cross-curricular so that it is of interest to all UB students. To participate, it is necessary to submit the application through UBeTram and fill in this form, to which must be attached a sound clip in MP3 format of a maximum duration of 60 seconds or a teaser of the programme in MP4 format of the same maximum duration (or both). The three finalists will be announced on 2 June.
