A research project uses online tools to study women's spirituality in the European Middle Ages

The Research Institute IRCVUM-Medieval Cultures of the UB has set up the multidisciplinary research project Paisatges Espirituals (Spiritual Landscapes), which focuses on feminine spirituality in several areas of the Iberian Peninsula while using a holistic analysis of the landscape to approach the religious phenomenon in the Medieval Europe. The researchers in this project say that it “ goes for online humanities and its main aim is to develop an online platform”. This online platform is a tool for the international scientific community and will allow general audience to participate in it.

Spiritual Landscapesʼ main researchers are Blanca Garí and Núria Jornet, and it is formed by researchers from different countries, experts on disciplines, methodologies and diverse topics: history, history of art, heritage, information, archivistics, gender studies, architecture, archaeology, physics, audiovisual studies and online humanities.
