The closing ceremony of the Taller de Músics anniversary will be unforgettable, with a tribute to the past and present of the institution through two iconic figures of flamenco, who represent its essence: Enrique Morente and Rosalía. This unique event takes place on Friday 13 December in Barcelona, with two activities open to the public.
In the morning, at the Paranymph Hall of the University of Barcelona, Daniel Gómez Sánchez presents his doctoral thesis, “Recordando a Morente y celebrando a Rosalía” (Remembering Morente and celebrating Rosalía). The presentation is complemented by the performance of Paula Domínguez and Marc López, who accompany the theoretical framework of the research with musical interpretations that give it a lively and emotional perspective.
In the afternoon, the documentary Morente & Barcelona, directed by Jordi Turtós, premieres at the Filmoteca de Catalunya. This activity includes a performance by Ana Brenes and Toni Abellán, followed by a discussion open to the public, with contributions by Jordi Turtós, Montse Madridejos, Luis Cabrera, Carmen Corpas and Paco Cano.
