Scientists publish the most detailed map to date of the Antarctic’s submarine canyons

A new high-resolution catalogue identifies 332 submarine canyon networks on the seafloor of the Antarctic continent, including canyons reaching depths of over 4,000 meters, and highlights the importance of canyons in ocean circulation and global climate change.
