The UB presents the 2026 Sant Jordi poster, by creator Jo Milne, at the CRAI Library of the Faculty of Fine Arts

The poster reinterprets a 1540 book and presents reading as a tool for imagining possible futures and other ways of inhabiting the world.

Saint George’s Day at UB Editions: a journey through books

On Thursday 23 April, UB Editions will be at Passeig de Gràcia 100, with a stand over 12 metres long. There will be new releases and a selection from the publishing catalogue, as well as a space for authors to sign copies of some recently published titles.

An atlas, a Jesuit catalogue and a sermon: the stars of the new “Sponsor a Book” campaign

The aim is to raise €8,200 to restore and digitize these three works, dating from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, which are held at the UB’s Rare Book and Manuscript CRAI Library.

It examines the genotype-phenotype correlation of this monogenic disorder caused by mutations in the SYNGAP1 gene, and reveals that its severity may also depend on other genetic factors

The UB’s archaeological mission in Oxyrhynchus has found Homer’s ‘Iliad’ inside a Roman-era mummy

The papyrus, placed in the mummy’s abdomen, contains a catalogue of ships. This is the first time a Greek literary text has been found in a mummy.
